The Hyatt Ziva has 547 rooms and 3 infinity pools. When you first arrive and walk into the large open-air lobby you can instantly smell the Caribbean. From the lobby, you can look out onto the resort grounds and the turquoise-blue waters of the sea. The entire resort has a modern Zen feel. Natural colors, natural wood, and clean lines offer a peaceful calming feel to the resort.
The resort is chic without being too pretentious. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a cold towel and a glass of sparkling wine. They know how to spoil you at Ziva. The resort is surrounded by water on three sides and offers a variety of ocean views.

The standard room at the Ziva is a typical resort room. The room is natural with very little interest to the eye. The room is extremely functional and has a tremendous amount of storage. The beds are comfortable, and the turn-down service was nice. In the room, you will find a snack drawer and a minibar that is stocked daily. 24-hour room service is available.
Can anyone say breakfast in bed! Each room has a tablet for ordering room service and proving information about the resort. I found this very helpful when planning our days and ordering late-night snacks. The bathroom is where it is at. The huge shower with the waterfall shower head is amazing! The vanity area is big and has a ton of storage for all your stuff.

You won’t have to pack slippers or a bathrobe because they supply them for you. The upgraded rooms have way more personality and a few more enticing perks. The room is clean, comfortable, and serves its purpose. The real magic at Ziva is outside your room. We enjoyed many meals while staying at Ziva. The resort has 7 restaurants and 9 bars. Reservations are not needed at Ziva. The variety of food is extensive.
The kids thought the 50’s dinner was cool, and we enjoyed grabbing a bite at the microbrewery. Hubby loved their draft beer. If you get bored with the amazing restaurant selection the resort has mini food trucks set up throughout the grounds.

A place we had to hit at least twice a day was the sweet shop. About midday the kids would talk me into grabbing a sweet treat from the sweets shop and every evening we would grab an ice cream and a cocktail to watch the sunset. We had our most memorable dinner at Tradewinds Zivas’ steakhouse. It truly was an amazing evening.
The activities category is where Ziva shines the most. Well, after the impeccable care, the staff provides. The resort offers an extensive amount of entertainment included in the booking. Do you want to scuba dive while you are vacationing or enjoy a hydrotherapy circuit session at the spa? It won’t cost a thing because it is included.

Tequila tastings, mixology classes, dance lessons, live music, yoga on the beach, paddle boarding, tennis lessons, snorkeling, and kayaking are all included at the Ziva. Pro tip! I like to take a few minutes after checking in to plan the activities we want to sign up for. I usually sit in the lobby with a drink and plan our activities. Spots can fill up fast, so it is best to book asap.
The kids and teens club has a great program. The kids never got bored. I enjoyed the live entertainment. Sometimes resort-style entertainment can be a little boring and repetitive. Not at Ziva. The live entertainment is fresh and lively. This is one of the reasons this resort is one of our favorites.

The resort has two stunning beaches with palapa coverings, sun chairs, and table service. On the grounds, there is a dolphin pool, 3 large infinity pools with swim-up bars, and a kid’s zone with water slides. There is an ample amount of seating on the beaches and the pool decks. I don’t usually take advantage of the fitness center at a hotel, but I did at Ziva. The center offers a ton of classes.
The fitness center is like a real gym. The fitness space is beautiful, and the amenities are amazing. The spa is very high-end. I enjoyed the free amenities and a few paid services in the spa. It is a very relaxing space, and the staff made me feel pampered. Pro tip! If you opt for the upgraded package download What’s App. This is the app the butler service uses to communicate with guests. The Ziva is my second favorite resort we have stayed at in Cancun. I love being a guest here and cannot wait to reserve our next stay.

Beach Palace
Beach Palace Resort has 285 rooms and 3 pools. This chic resort is in the hotel zone in Cancun. The lobby boasts large modern works of art and a beautiful aquarium. The gigantic red leather couch hits you with a splash of color. The lobby is a great place to rest and watch the fish swim around. The bright and cheerful modern décor sets the tone for the beginning of an exciting vacation.
This is a more relaxed informal resort. It can be a bit noisy at times because it is a family resort. I like that. The kids can run around, and I don’t feel like they are being disruptive. Check-in was easy and after a few drinks in the lobby bar, while they got everything ready, we were on our way to the room to get settled in. I liked the special adult drink amenities in the room. Each room is equipped with a daily stocked minibar, a liquor dispenser, and a bottle of wine upon arrival.

With 24-hour room service and the minibar, we could get settled in and enjoy a drink and snack on our balcony. They have an amazing app that makes managing resort life and ordering easy. I recommend downloading it. The room comes with a whirlpool tub for two and a robe to slip on after a soak. We tried it out when we sent the kids out for a few hours. The bathrooms are stocked with a Chi flat iron, a hairdryer, and luxury bath products. We enjoyed the room. It was bright and cheery. The room was spacious and had a luxury beach resort feel. Each room has a balcony with a view of the water. Either beach view or mangrove view.
We enjoyed eating at the 4 restaurants. Our favorites were Wok the Asian place and the smokehouse. You do not have to make reservations for dinner so just walk up anytime you feel hungry. For lunch, we ate poolside every day. The food was good, and I had the hardest time pulling the boys away from the pool area. The breakfast buffet was full of yummy options and the staff worked hard to make us feel special.

If you are an extreme foodie like I am not all the restaurants will impress you. But the food is good, and the service is outstanding. The bars pour a good drink and the servers never let your drink get empty before offering another. Our stay at this hotel was amazing!! The hotel is not huge and because of this, I felt better about letting the kids hang around more freely. The resort hands out walkie-talkies to families, so the kids were never more than a call away. Babysitter service is available in upgraded rooms.
The resort has 2 rooftop pools, a large central pool, and a kid’s pool. Water slide included. There is always some kind of action going on by the large pool. The beaches are beautiful, and the resort offers beach table service. I enjoyed a facial and a massage in the spa. The spa has a very clean tropical Zen vibe. The sauna was very relaxing. Every evening we enjoyed a rooftop cocktail while watching the sunset over the lagoon. This resort had enough to keep everyone busy and still have time to relax. The Beach Palace resort offers an all-inclusive vacation with amazing service. The amazing service and true authenticity of the staff are reasons why Beach Palace made my top four list.

Paradisus Cancun
The Paradisus in Cancun has 525 rooms with private balconies. The moment I walked into the resort I was impressed. You feel like you have stepped into a Mayan Jungle retreat fit for royalty. Mayan statues and wall paintings decorate the hallways adding to the exotic feeling of the resort. Palapa structures, cascading vines, and a large koi pond transform the space. You must see it to fully grasp the beauty of Paradisus. To enhance your experience even more, they use aromatherapy throughout the grounds. Different areas have specific signature scents. This is just one of the many special touches this resort offers that makes staying here a luxurious treat.
The rooms are spacious and include a daily stocked mini-bar. The bathroom offers a tub, shower, hairdryer, large vanity area, and luxurious bath products. I thought the room was very well decorated and it felt like we were staying in a posh resort. The furnishings were white with a pop or two of color. Very tropical. The bed was super cozy. The sheets were soft, and the mattress was comfortable. The room also included 24-hour room service. I love this because some mornings I just like staying in the room for breakfast on the balcony.
The resort is large, but you will never get lost because there are many interactive touch screens scattered around the resort. The touch screens supply up-to-date info on resort happenings and provide navigation assistance. I love this! The resort has 9 restaurants and 5 bars/nightclubs. There are so many dining choices that it is hard to eat at each one during your stay. Reservations are needed for the restaurants.

Several breakfast buffets help keep the lines short in the morning. Mole and Bana were our two favorite restaurants. The food is of high quality, and it is far better than the average all-inclusive food. Pro tips! Royal Signature guests have the option to dine in the Palapa restaurant for a quieter breakfast. Tip 2 all the restaurants and live entertainment are in tower three. Staying in tower three will ensure you are close to all the action but can be a little noisier.

Paradisus has 4 pools with swim-up bars. The large pools provide enough space for all guests to splash around. The pool decks offer plenty of sunchairs for guests to lounge on. Not having to get up early and reserve a chair is very nice. If you are a Royal Signature guest your package includes a two-day reservation for the Bali beds. If not for $50 USD, you can rent a Bali bed for the day. The rental includes a seafood platter and champagne. Baller!!
If you are looking to shake your booty this is a great resort for that. The resort throws a kicking beach party twice a week and has nightly entertainment. The bars are full of music, people, and drinks. Our favorite night was salsa night. We got to show off some of our newly gained skills from salsa lessons. This is a lively resort that offers a ton of amenities to keep you busy. I have been to some places where you felt slightly ignored while sitting on the beach. Not here the staff was super attentive and made sure all our needs were met.

Paradisus has tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course, non motorized water sports, yoga, meditation, cross-fit, palates, and many other fun activities. I took part in the wine tasting class and sushi-making activity during our visit. The staff was knowledgeable about the content of the class and worked so hard to make it an exciting event. The kids club and teens club (just like all the other amenities) are a step above the rest. The boys had a blast. I couldn’t pull them away from the action-packed club schedules.
They have programs for children as young as 1-year-old. Bonus!! Most all-inclusive’s start childcare at 4 years old. I do not have a little girl but if I did, we so would have hit the kid’s spa for some mommy and me time. The grown-up spa has an Asian feel to it and is ultra-relaxing. The spa offers over 66 different types of massages. I had the best spa experience here. They set the bar. This is by far one of my favorite all-inclusive in Cancun.

Moon Palace is a huge resort. It has over 2,000 rooms in all. The resort is broken up into three sections. Sunrise at Moon Palace is where most of the activities, restaurants, wave simulator and kids club are located. Nizuc at Moon Palace is for those looking for a quieter stay at the resort. It is a bit farther out so be prepared to walk a little or enjoy a complimentary golf cart ride. The Grand at Moon Palace is the resort’s luxury suite. This resort screams luxury. Moon Palace has a variety of themes throughout the resort. Each building has its own look and feel. The thing that ties them all together is the touches of indulgence. When you are staying at the Moon Palace resort you feel like you are on an episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
The rooms are amazing. Each room has a beautiful jacuzzi bathtub and a balcony with a hammock. The rooms carry the same luxury theme. The bed is fluffy and inviting and the furnishings are rich. The rooms are spacious, and they have a bonus sitting area. When we entered the room there was a bottle of wine and a stocked mini-bar waiting on us. Pro tip! Download the resort’s app.

The mosquitos can get bad in the jungle. I love this all-natural bug repellent. It works well, it is better for the environment, and my family.
The resort has 17 restaurants. There are so many options it would be hard to get bored with the food. All the food we had here was amazing. This is another resort that puts extra effort into its dining experience. The diversity of food ranges from Asian, Indian, Mexican, Seafood, Italian, Steak houses, and more. Our favorites were MoMo, Bugambilias, Agra, and Café Bistro. Reservations are needed to dine for dinner.
Every morning I grabbed a pastry and coffee in the lobby café of the Sunrise building. This is such a big resort a second visit is a must if you want to try all the experiences they have to offer. Our favorite bar was the Sky bar. All top-shelf liquor is included and served when asked. The nightlife is great. There was more than one night I danced the night away. The drinks here are amazing, the bartenders are well-trained, and make they all sorts of beautiful exotic cocktails. Check out the bar in the Nizuc lobby for some special drinks.

There is a tremendous amount of effort put into making the kids feel at home. With activities like water slides, dolphin experience, splash zone, arcade room, mini-golf, bowling, roller skating, and the beach the kiddos are sure to have a blast. Moon Palace includes adults in the fun too. If you feel like hitting the green while in Cancun, Moon Palace offers great golfing at their 27-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course. There are several pools throughout the resort. The live entertainment is very good and there is a large variety of shows to see. We never sat around bored. There was so much we wanted to see it was hard to choose what to do. Our favorite activities were karaoke, the magic show, dance lessons, and bicycling.
The fitness center is impressive and offers tons of wellness activities. Of course, I stopped by the spa, and I was not disappointed. The pools are expansive and impressive, and the swim-up bars take good care of you. The beach is beautiful, and the table service rocks. The service, accommodations, amenities, and grounds are spectacular. Moon Palace makes for an amazing vacation.
